First of all, I advise you to take a deep breath: hiring is not easy. You should start it only if you are well prepared, as mistakes can be costly.

  1. Get your finances in order
Get your finances in order before hiring. It is necessary to accurately calculate what costs and profits await your company when hiring a new employee. Will projected income exceed payroll, taxes, and other hiring costs? Discuss this with your accountant.
  2. Write a Job Description
Think carefully about which specialists you need. Consider the type of personality, skills, and experience, and clearly articulate the responsibilities of the new employee. Determine the optimal amount of incentives.
  3. Consider Other Costs
The profit from the worker must exceed the cost of it. In addition to direct wages, costs include the cost of organizing a workplace, additional equipment, and training. Again, check with your accountant about taxes and additional payments. Yes, you will need a good accountant to expand your company.
  4. Determine how results will be measured.
How will you know that you are getting a significant return on hiring a new employee? What metrics and measurements will help quantify the benefit?
  5. How will you measure employee performance?
How will you monitor employee performance? How often will you meet to discuss their progress or lack thereof? What is the optimal duration of the training? What indicators will be taken into account to assess the quality of work? At what point should you tell an employee that you are not satisfied with the results of his work? Will there be a trial period for newcomers?
  6. How to implement team interaction?
Group meetings raise morale, strengthen friendships, generate new creative ideas, and establish strong team bonds. How often will these meetings take place? Will everyone be required to attend? Will the meetings be held online or in person? Who is responsible for the agenda?
